Child Protection Feature!

 

There are two types of software that protect children on the market.

1) Filter Programs- Filter programs block all websites that have been identified as containing porn or violence. All other sites are free to go to.

 

The problem with this method is that word and site filters only restrict children from sites that use the actual common word or the most common slang words to describe the anatomy or sexual and violent acts.

 

The porn sites know this and are not using these typical words. They use words to describe the anatomy or acts that will get through to their sites and their chat rooms. A porn or violence site can buy a new domain name for $5.00 a year and have it up in a heartbeat.

 

The new porn/violence promoting site may go undetected by the word filter software for many days. In the mean time millions of children may have been exposed to this content.

 

2) Bubble Protectors- The second type of protection software allows only a certain defined amount of websites to be accessed. You are not allowed to go to any site other than what is in the software's database.

 

With so many good sites out there this severely restricts the user and you are forced to be limited to what sites are in the software.

 

 

ChildSecureWeb

 

ChildSecureWeb is a hybrid of both of the above protection concepts. Our program limits the child to only the sites within the software database as type two. However, we have a unique feature that allows access to the favorites folder.     So if the child's favorite website is not in our database the parent can simply add it to the favorites. So the child is protected but not limited.     The cost for a good Child Browser is approximately $40 as was also indicated in the Dateline NBC report on Child Online Predators, 9/24/04.

 

There are several hundred websites that will help the children do their school work in the database. Additionally, there are many educational children's games loaded in the program to keep the children busy for many hours.

 

The children will not be able to access your email account. Therefore they will never be exposed to porn email solicitations.

 

Access to all the search engines is denied when the program is placed in lock mode!

 

The program can not be minimized and you can not X -OUT of it. To remove the program the parent would have to enter the password you made up when registering for the software.

The programs drop down menu system allows you to quickly pick a topic and then select the name of the site within the topic and go!

 

Children can simply click on the name of their favorite sites instead of calling Mom and Dad over to type in the next website they want to go to.

 

Children can recognize the names of the sites but often can not spell and type them in the computers' address bar.

 

 

Additionally, there are links right in the software to many topics of interests.

 

The software becomes a Customizable Companion Browser that can be minimized in your tray.

 

You can activate or uninstall the software at any time. The software download produces two icons on your desktop, one to activate the program and the other to uninstall it.

 

The program does not replace or take over any existing programs.
